These products are a blend of refined mineral oils and additives like fats, sulphur and chlorine, which are incorporated to impart extreme pressure (EP) and anti weld properties. High quality fatty oils are added to provide improved lubrication under boundary conditions and also to impart metal wetting characteristics.
SARBI’s CUTFINE series can be classified under three main categories :-
1. High oiliness type.
2. EP oils non-staining type.
3. EP oils staining type.
The above oils differ in type and quality of the additives whether non-staining or staining type depending on the point of application, severity and type of the cutting job under taken.

CUTFINE 150, 240, 270, 275
These oils are amber to red coloured products containing inactive sulphur with or without chlorinated EP additive besides oiliness additives. These products are used in automobile, bearing and ancillary, repetitive metal parts manufacturing industries, such as turning, milling, drilling on automatics as well as honing, lapping and super finishing operations of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Viscosity of these grades increase as the suffix number increases.
CUTFINE 360, 390, 480
These oils are amber to red coloured products containing active sulphur with or without chlorinated EP additive besides oiliness additives. These products are used in automobile, bearing and ancillary, repetitive metal parts manufacturing industries.
This products are used in machining of high tensile steels, and alloy steels are not recommended for non ferrous metals specially, Bronze, Copper, Brass and Gun Metal. |

PROTEC DW 201, 202, 204 are solvent deposited, water displacing type soft film rust preventives with finger print neutralising properties.
PROTEC DW 201 is solvent deposited water displacing soft film type rust preventive and on the evaporation of solvent forms a thicker and firmer oily film which offers protection to the steel parts for several weeks. It is also best applied by dipping of the machined parts in the oil bath.
PROTEC DW 244 is solvent deposited soft film, water displacing type with finger print neutralising properties. PROTEC DW 244 has been formulated from highly refined lubricating base stocks containing special rust and corrosion protection additives keeping in mind specially the Ball and Roller Bearing rust preventive requirements. It is suitable for surface protection of all highly polished surfaces and as a sealant for phosphatised components. It is also suitable for small parts like taps, dies, screws, nuts and bolts. PROTEC DW 244 is applied by cold dipping or spraying copiously the ball and roller bearings or the parts to be protected. After draining the excess fluid, and on drying of solvent, PROTEC DW 244 leaves a firm oily colourless film. It is desirable to give the solvent drying time of minimum 12 hrs. but preferably 24 hrs. for good results.
PROTEC 611 & 612 are made from specially selected lubricating base oils containing special rust and corrosion inhibitors. They offer high degree of protection to steel and other polished metallic surfaces from rust and corrosion. They also posses lubricating property besides being temporary corrosion protective.
PROTEC DW 717 is a solvent deposited, water displacing type rust preventive which forms soft waxy brown film on the metal surface and is designed to stand a degree of handling of the protected surfaces. PROTEC DW 717 is popularly used as temporary protective for steel tubes, bright bars, steel strips, wheel rings, auto parts, etc. Application is by brushing, dipping, spraying or roller coating. |
