This test method gives primary bio-degradation of the lubricant / test substance. The bio-degradation is induced by the external inoculum. The reference sample and test samples are incubated 25 ± 10°C for predetermined period. The residual content of test substance is determined using infrared spectrophotometry which reflects the extend of bio-degradation.

Incubator The Rotary incubator has specially designed to accommodate 25 numbers conical flasks. The inner wall are made of stainless Steel and outer walls are made up of powder coated Mild Steel.
Refrigeration & Heating system
Incubation flask Conical flasks with foam plugs
Glassware Two sets of required glassware
Control panel Fitted with Digital Temperature meter, Timer, Time Totalizer etc
